Our Story
Kentucky Farms is a 180+ acre farm, located off of Oriana Rd in Yorktown, VA. The farm is owned and operated by Janine and Jeff Hughey.
We've grown into one of Virginia's premier equestrian facilities, expanding to accommodate 94 horses while maintaining the personal touch and family atmosphere that has always defined us.
There are two riding arenas (one with a full jump course) and round pen. Your ability to ride right off the back of the property and on wide wooded paths, provides a pleasant diversion from riding in an arena.
Today, under the leadership of Janine, Jeff and their two daughters, they continue to honor our founding principles while embracing equine care and facility management.
Partners Tack Shop is located on the property and owned by Michelle Center.
Janine Hughey
Owner & Manager
With over 40 years of experience in equine management, Janine oversees daily operations and ensures every horse receives the highest quality care.
Meagan Hughey
Barn Manager
With over 20 years of experience in equines, Meagan oversees daily feeding and turnout. As well as the barn event coordinator.
Amber Hughey
Asst. Barn Manager
With over 20 years of experience in equines, Amber assists in oversees daily feeding and turnout.
